The cool mountain lake terrain of early fall was the inspiration for these long, asymmetrical fingerless mitts in two sizes (S/L), worked in rippling openwork stitch patterns. Mitts feature a biasing vine motif around the long cuffs transitioning to a solid fabric for the hand, transversed by one diagonal lace panel. The shaped thumb gusset provides a sculpted fit to complete the elegant look. The cuff length is easily shortened if desired and the circumference may be further tailored by using a smaller or larger needle size.

Suggested Yarns: 
Better Breakfast Fingering, Stone Soup Fingering, Modern Deco Lace, Finn Dandy 3-ply Sport, or any soft, heavy fingering/sport yarn that knits to pattern gauge. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and drape.

Finished Size: 6(7) inches in hand circumference, to fit hands measuring up to 7.5(8.5) inches around palm

Gauge: 26 sts and 36 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on middle size needles (knit flat; unblocked)
