University Poncho

Description

This poncho is knit in one piece – folded – then seamed at the shoulder. Simple ribbing with asymmetric cables, this rectangle is easily adapted for other accessories. Included with this pattern are instructions using Berroco Mercado for a single skein neck warmer, a two skein cowl, a three skein scarf and a four skein wrap in the University design.

Finished measurements  Width 21” (53 cm) Length – 52” (132 cm) after blocking

Materials  5 Hanks BERROCO MERCADO (100 grs / 164 yds), #4153 Agua Marina  24” Length circular knitting needle, size 10 (6 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE  Stitch markers  Cable needle

Gauge  15 sts = 4” (10.2 cm); 20 rows = 4” (10.2 cm)in St st  TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE
