Gauge:
23 sts and 35 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in stockinette stitch on larger needles (knit flat, washed, and air-dried)
31 sts and 42 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in cable and rib pattern on larger needles (knit flat, washed, and air-dried)

Needles:
size 5US (3.75 mm) 16-inch circular needles (or size to obtain correct gauge)
size 3US (3.25 mm) 16-inch circular needle (or .5 mm smaller than gauge needle)
Cable needle several sizes smaller than gauge needle
