SweetGeorgia Polwarth + Silk spinning fiber is a decadent blend of 85% super-soft Polwarth wool and 15% tussah silk for shimmer. The Polwarth sheep is a mix of 75% Merino (for softness) and 25% Lincoln (longer staple length) and a must-spin in your repertoire! Polwarth is wonderful for felting, so be sure to treat this fibre gently if you don’t want to felt it! Polwarth + Silk comes in 100-gram braids and is hand-dyed in Canada using professional acid dyes.
Hand-dyed fibers have subtle variations in colors that are natural and may vary from braid to braid. There may be differences between pictures shown and the fibers you receive. Buy enough fiber at one time to get the best results for your project.
