The Studio Hat is knitted starting at the top in 2×2 rib stitch, increasing stitches until you reach the desired circumference. The brim is worked in a second colour, then a small section of 1×1 rib stitch is added in a third colour at the end, before finishing with an elastic bind-off for a clean, stretchy edge. All three sizes use the same stitch count; the finished circumference depends on your gauge.

The sizes roughly correspond to Child (Adult Small, Adult Large). The Studio Hat is designed to be worn with an intended negative ease of 2 to 4″ / 5 to 10 cm, meaning you should choose a size 2 to 4″ / 5 to 10 cm smaller than your head circumference.
