Like all Ziggurats, Stjerneskud is knitted top down with contiguous sleeve caps and built-in front bands. Elegantly seamless, and designed specifically with knitters new to Ziggurating in mind, Stjerneskud is a stylish, wearable cardigan on which to learn the method.
Stjerneskud was originally designed for a master class for KnitStars 5 as a way to learn Ziggurating – to this end the cardigan features the usual Ziggurat steps and details common to other Ziggurats. (Knit Stars 5 features a detailed video class on the Ziggurat construction)
Your cardigan will have beautiful drape, overlapping fronts, no buttons, and a squarish, almost swingy shape that is easy to wear.
Tailored, 3/4-length sleeves make a quiet but distinct statement with a sweet keyhole cuff (photo tutorial in the pattern). An optional gather at centre back lends a little bit of extra ease.
Wear it as final touch to a more formal outfit or throw it on to jeans or over a comfortable dress.
