This sixteen block off-set log cabin uses narrower strips on two sides of the center square and wider strips on the opposite sides, for a unique variation on the traditional log cabin block. It is a classic quilt that is advanced beginner friendly, as well as being an interesting design.

Fabric Requirements:
Fabric is organized into two sections: the light sides,and the dark/bright sides of the log cabin.
(Refer to Figure 1 for placement.)

Light Side Yardage:
A (center) – 1/8 yard
D & E – 1/3 yard
H & I – 1/2 yard
L & M – 5/8 yard
P & Q – 3/4 yard
T & U – 1 yard
X & Y – 1 1/4 yard
BB & CC – 1 1/8 yard

Dark Side Yardage:
B & C – 1/8 yard
F & G – 1/4yard
J & K – 1/4 yard
N & O – 1/4 yard
R & S – 1/3 yard
V & W – 1/2 yard
Z & AA – 1/2 yard
DD & EE – 1 1/8 yard for piecing and binding

You will also need: 4 3/4 yard for backing and 86″ x 86″ batting.
