Areyou intimidated by the thought of even cutting into your handwoven fabric? Whatpitfalls do you avoid when attempting to sew that fabric?
Cometo this workshop to discover not only how to cut and sew your handwoven fabric,but also how to interface it, make bias piping, insulate and line it whilemaking a basic open bottomed tea cozy on your sewing machine. This makes agreat gift, or keep it for your favorite teapot!
Learnabout sewing machine needles, threads, machine techniques and using certainpressure feet for specific applications.
For the comfort and safety ofour students and teachers, students may be asked to wear a mask during inperson classes and workshops, and masks are available upon request.

Prerequisite: NONE
Materials Required:
Lightto mid weight hand woven fabric approximately 15” x 26” after washing andironing
Cottonquilting fabric with the same dimensions
Quiltbatting of your choice with the same dimensions
Onefat quarter of quilting cotton for piping (contrast or tonal is fine)
Portablesewing machine in good working condition
Walkingfoot if possible
Zipperfoot or piping foot
Quiltingsewing machine needles size 90/14
