Ruth’s cowl is a beautiful cowl with variations designed by Ruth Sørensen. The cowl is made in beautiful colors and worked in fair isle pattern, a technique that Ruth is well known for mastering. The pattern for Ruth’s cowl is full of details and expert tips. It is a double cowl, meaning that the cowl is knit together in the end, so only the beautiful pattern side will be visible. The pattern also include instructions on how to combine colors and weaving ends as you knit, to help you get a stunning result.
The cowl was originally intended as a stash project. It can be knitted from a minimum of two colors, but as few or as many colors can be added as you have / like or want to work with. If you choose many different colors, you should plan for having approximately 200 g available. In the example in the picture, 8 different colors are used.
