Monkey Ladder knitting pattern

Description

A robust twist-stitch and lace pattern weaves down the leg and over the top of the foot in this top-down sock in four sizes (XS/S/M/L). Thick jungle vines pierced with light and shot with the colors of flowers and darting birds are brought to mind when a variegated yarn is used. The pattern is built with simple stitch maneuvers and the motif is reversible for toe-up construction.

Finished Size:6(7.5, 9, 10.5) inches in circumference, to fit feet up to 7(8.5, 10, 11.5) inches around

Gauge:33 sts and 48 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch (knit flat; unblocked) 34 sts and 48 rows = 4 inches in pattern stitch (knit flat; washed and blocked)

Needles: DPNs size 1US (2.25 mm) or size to obtain correct gauge
