Description
The shawl is inspired by theof the mallorn trees in JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. “There are no trees like the trees of that land. For in the autumn their leaves fall not, but turn to gold. Not till the spring comes and the new green opens do they fall. Then the boughs are laden with golden blossom in clusters like a cherry; and the floor of the wood is golden, and golden is the roof, and its pillars are of silver, for the bark of the trees is smooth and grey.”
Woolen Rabbit Dove was used for the sample, an alternative is suggested. 400 yards needed for the scarf & 800 for the shawl
