Worked with one strand throughout.

Recommended circular needle size 3 mm / US 2½, 100 cm / 40 inches long, and an extra needle to use for knitting together, alternatively long double pointed needles, size 3 mm / US 2½

Gauge 26 sts and 26 rows in garter ridges on needle size 3 mm / US 2½ = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches

Procedure
First knit a thumb, and from there you build up the mittens in modules, in the colors of your choice, until the width of the hand is achieved. Then knit the edge at the bottom, the top of the mitten and finally knit them together along the outer edge. The two mittens cannot be knit as complete mirrored copies, but they are the same in size!
