Description
Easy, close-fitting, unisex hat worked in k2, p2 rib with matching long scarf. Choose worsted, bulky or super bulky yarn.
Finished size:
Ribbed hat will fit head sizes from 21″ to 24″. Gauge may be adjusted by going up or down a needle size to fit larger or smaller heads.
Scarf measures 8″ (20 cm) by 84″ (213 cm), blocked.
Yarn Requirements:
Super Bulky: 60 yds for hat and 200 yds for scarf
Bulky: 90 yds for hat and 300 yds for scarf
Worsted: 125 yds for hat and 420 yds for scarf
Needles: 16″ circular and DPNs for hat; straight needles for scarf
Super Bulky: US 13 (9.00mm) for hat; US 17 (12.0mm) for scarf
Bulky: US 11 (8.00mm) for hat; US 13 (9.00mm) for scarf
Worsted: US 7 (4.5mm) for hat; US 10 (6.00mm) for scarf
Gauge:
In stockinette stitch on the hat size needle.
Super Bulky: 9 sts = 4″
Bulky: 12 sts = 4″
Worsted: 18 sts = 4″
