Blue Sky’s Baby Alpaca Sport Yarn is a phenomenally soft baby alpaca: 100% Alpaca. When we opened the box on this beautiful alpaca yarn, I just couldn’t wait to start – yet I didn’t have a pressing project (just a zillion unfinished ones) so I just wound some up and started knitting. The colors were irresistible, with so many possible color combos….it’s soft as anything, light and easy on the fingers, with a soft alpaca halo. I knit the piece above on a size 7 needle – which came out loose and light, and I’m now trying it on 5’s to see what it’s like more tightly packed. It’s just a delight to knit. Ultra soft, and in the most beautiful colors. The 500 Series are beautiful solids. If you’d like heathered colors, check out the MELANGE 800 Series!
