Description
Knitting pattern for Beanie with Braid
Here is a wonderfully soft beanie that is both warm, beautiful, and features lovely details inspired by traditional Aran knitting. It is worked with a beautiful braided cable along the lower edge, keeping your ears nice and warm. The cable adds a charming detail inspired by the old cable-knitting traditions of the Aran Islands. The beanie is knitted in one strand of Önling No 1 or Önling No 3 — both yarns ensure a delightfully soft and cozy result.

Procedure
First, the braid (cable) is knitted as a long strip, which is then bound off and sewn together to form a ring. Next, stitches are picked up along one edge of the braid from the right side, the work is turned, and stockinette stitch is worked in the round from the wrong side. Finally, the beanie is turned inside out, as the wrong side becomes the right side.
