Artus & Anne Cardigan knitting pattern

Description

A breezy openwork cardigan in 9 sizes XS(S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X) with surface design derived from arts and crafts pottery motifs; the depth and shimmer of rich ceramic glazes is replicated by using a silky yarn blend. Comfortable raglan shaping and a slightly more open neckline make this sweater a go-to piece for mild weather. Cardigan is knit top-down in one piece without seams and features allover lace patterning with ribbed trims and button bands.

Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, or yardage requirement

Buttons: 11(11, 12, 12, 12, 13, 13, 14, 14) round buttons that are .25 inches / 6 mm in diameter

Gauge:
26 sts and 40 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in stockinette stitch on larger needle (unblocked)
26 sts and 34 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in Chart A pattern on larger needle (washed and blocked)
26 sts and 34 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in Chart B pattern on larger needle (washed and blocked)

Needles:
size 4US (3.5 mm) 16- and 24-inch circular needles and DPNs for sweater body and sleeves (or size to obtain correct gauge)
size 2US (2.75 mm) 24-inch (or .75 mm smaller than gauge needle) for neck / button bands and garter ridge
