Description
I designed the Arctic Circle Jumper for a trip to Finland where pure wool jumpers will be vital but it makes a perfect warm layer for winters anywhere. It is knitted in parts to the yoke and then continued in rounds. It has a very simple colour work design with a repeat of just 4 stitches and a button fastening at the neck. I used Willow and Lark’s Ramble, a soft pure wool in an excellent range of colours, but you could substitute any wool of the same gauge. Only small amounts of the three contrasts are required. The pattern includes a chart and instructions are given for approximate ages 1-9 years.
