Description
This jumper was inspired by the colours and textures of seaweed on our local beach. It uses a design from aran knitting which is often referred to as seaweed or tree of life by the island communities. The pattern has an 8 row pattern repeat which is easily memorised. It is a vintage style, giving a neat fit, with set in sleeves and a folded over, stretchy neck. I prefer to do aran styles in double knitting for children as it gives a lighter finish. I have knitted it successfully in pastel and bold colours, for both girls and boys.
